District Court Circuit Dinner

A fantastic evening was held at the Toowoomba Downs Club on 12 May 2016, with His Honour Judge Everson DCJ and Her Honour Judge Kingham DCJ of the District Court of Queensland. 

Members were treated to an evening of socialising with both the judiciary and other members of the legal community, outside of the usual confines of work.

On 12 May 2015, the Downs & South Western Law Association Members participated in a brisk early morning walk to raise funds for QPILCH and to celebrate Law Week.

QPILCH is a not-for-profit, community-based legal organisation that helps to provide pro bono legal services for individuals and community groups in Queensland. QPILCH is well known for running the Homeless Persons Legal Clinic, as well as providing assistance to lawyers conducting pro bono legal work.

The DSWQLA has been fortunate to share a wonderful relationship with the WLAQ over the past couple of years.

This year, Committee Members Amie Mish-Wills, Catherine Cheek and Naomi Cox attended the WLAQ Gala event.

The Association would like to formally thank everyone for the support of our Ladies in Law Lunch which took place on Friday, 12 October 2018 at Gips Restaurant.

Thank you to all members who participated in the #LawRightWalk this morning. We had a great turn out for the ebvent, and members enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by the South Toowoomba Apex Club. So far we have raised $387.01 for LawRight. There is still time to donate !
